Jodee Knowles

I fell upon this local Perth artist when I was mucking around on the computer, which I tend to do a little too often, and I instantly fell in love! There's something intriguing about a kind of 'twisted beauty' that the artist, Jodee Knowles captures perfectly. Reminds me very much of Tim Burton cartoons infused with the eerie Salad Fingers clips, if any of you remember watching them on YouTube. It's the deathly-solemn-sadness that excites me in these pieces. If that's not irony at its best then I don't know what is.

I've always been into dressing really grungy and kind of infusing the punk look with the trashy-indie scene so I want to do something new and share with you looks I'm getting into, what I'm wearing and what I think is hot! Check it out.

Lanvin for H&M

The wait is finally over for all you fashion lovers out there with Lanvin ♥ H&M hitting stores on Saturday. This debut high-end collaboration has caught the attention of fashionistas, bloggers and the 'it' people all over the world but unfortunately since its opening two days ago, many of the pieces have already sold out! Ahhh how I wish to have been able to get my hands on at least one of these garments. In the famous words of Rachel Zoe, "I Die"... Below are the first campaign shots and video for Lanvin's Designer, Alber Elbaz's H&M collection photographed by David Sims and some of the pieces from it that were available on the weekend. It's so beautiful, almost too beautiful!

Girl Talk - All Day

Last Monday, Girl Talk had internet lovers and downloaders on their knees after the out-of-nowhere release of 'All Day', his latest collection of energetically-enticing dance beats and party-mashes. The 12 hit-lister has been the talk of the music scene this week due to Gregg Gillis (Girl Talk) making the album free to download. The album clocks up over an hour and ten minutes of bangin' groovin' tunes and features some 370 different samples. Definitely a compilation of impressive remixes that are bound to be on repeat!

A cool little song my friend showed me today. And yes, I was oblivious to how amazing this song was when it was released in January, but a little nudge to remind me and its back on repeat! It's not so much about the clip itself, moreover about the song. I absolutely love Mackintosh Braun especially his track, 'Good So Far'.

Since I've been in hiding, due to ridiculous amounts of study, I've been listening to a lot of CFCF. And, since my new found desire to sit in my room for hours, I've unveiled a new found love... Making sure you have a listen to a couple of their tracks from their new album 'Drifts'. Now these guys are pretty awesome with their jungle-inspired beats and mystic-synth-melodies, however, if you listen to it on repeat it can become a little repetitive and all the sounds begin to merge into one. Ahh nonetheless, it's still pretty rad, especially The Teenagers remix of 'Sunset Beach'.

Temper Trap Remixed

Last Monday, Temper Trap released "Conditions Remixed" which is a compilation of the latest remixes and edits of their work. With jeans and jackets being thrown off replaced by bathers, the transition into summer fun has just been made a little easier. These new tunes vary tremendously! The bass beats really pump after the building intros, especially the 'Drum Song' remix which creates a more dubstep feel whilst 'Soldier On' meshes synth-pop with electro.
