Housse De Racket

I have to say that the French do it well when it comes to music, seemingly mastering the world of synth-pop sounds. Aboard this new train of delectable beats coming out of this country are soul-fused electro funk pop duo Housse De Racket. Two music scholars who incorporate impressive drum beats, guitar and vocals with synth-backings to create empowering music. Having already toured the world, supporting the likes of Foals, Phoenix, Friendly Fires, Yelle and The Teenagers, it looks as though its nothing but a bright future for these boys.

b&w

There is something about b&w photography that melts me inside.

Unlike colour, b&w photography draws greater attention to composition, perspective and context. In my eyes it accentuates every little detail and shadow enhancing the direction and story of an image.
I absolutely love it!
Don't get me wrong I like colour, however I wish more editorials were shot in b&w because I think it's beautiful.

Danger

I don't want to run the risk of becoming too electro-centric, but there is one artist who I can't turn my back on any longer... The most bad of the badass, Danger.
Danger is the mask wearing alter ego of Frank Rivoire, a 23 year-old Parisian graphic designer who infuses the perils of French electro with the stark electronic minimalism and insistence of artists such as Justice and Kavinsky.
Not only through the incorporation of hip-hop aesthetics does his music distinct itself from other electro outfits, but he also cleverly manipulates his cover art to embody the sinister imagery of his sound and the very essence of danger.

I'm Only Gonna Break Your Heart

An abundance of new sounds for you to sink your teeth into...
It's quite a big variety of different beats extending from Anoraak's new single, Above Your Head, a smooth journey of heartbreak and love (listen to it by yourself) to The Twelves remix of Two Door Cinema Club's hit, Something Good Can Work. Also, turn up your speakers really really loud and listen to Short Circuit Heatstroke remix of Fabian's hit Heatwave, seriously wants to make you dance. However, aside from these songs, I have to take light to a new underground French producer and artist, Paul. I don't have words for his songs, but all I can say is that they are moving and warm. Close your eyes and listen to it loud with head phones on!
I'm on a music hunt at the moment, so expect more in the next few days as I procrastinate fiercely from my studies!
