Cassius - "The Rawkers" EP

Cassius are back! Their brand new EP "The Rawkers" is something that is sure to blow your mind... The French house music duo, consisting of Philippe Zdar and Boom Bass have collaborated with Ed Banger Records to exclusively release a six track EP. Philippe Zdar is well known around the electro/indie music scene as a prominent figure having produced Phoenix's hit album "Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix", Cut Copy's first album "Bright Like Neon Love" and most recently Chromeo's album "Business Casual". Make sure you get on board and pick up a copy of the EP from iTunes on October 11th!

If You Love Me Let Me Go

I'm probably a bit late posting this, but I honestly can't get this catchy tune out of my head! After having watched The Wombats live at Parklife last Sunday their tune Tokyo (Vampires & Wolves) has really caught my attention. Absolutely love the bangin' melody which really makes you want to dance, but in saying that the lyrics are incredibly euphonious! Check out the Grum remix, who has put a dope club vibe behind it.

Jeffrey Campbell F/W 10

Ahh deary me, Jeffrey Campbell sure does know how to make the most amazing pair of shoes... I wish life could simply flick a pair my way, down to the southern hemisphere, so I could wear these exquisite pieces to death!
There really aren't any words to explain his new collection other than damn HOT!

Summer is Looming.

My heads been a little all over the place lately, it could be because of the weather but would summer just hurry up!
Take me someplace else...

Alexander Wang S/S 11

 Alexander Wang.
His latest S/S 11 collection is breath-taking, not due to it being outrageous but because it's simple, suave and sophisticated. The intricate little details within his pieces is what blows you away, especially being able to have this affect when using only white and neutral tones. Also, check out the shoes!

Something A La Mode

The progression of electro music is forever evolving before our eyes, and for two daring French-men, the evolution is only growing more. Thomas Roussel and Yannick Grandjean are the talented duo who have created Something A La Mode. With the release of their first and only album, these French youngsters have definitely created something nouveau-chic. They intertwine electro bass-beats with string melodies, calling it 'electro-strings'... I don't what to call it but it's definitely something new! Already having played to a crowd of over 15 000 people this act are going to be an inspiration to other musical aficionados!

Pink Ganter

It's time to get back out into the sun today with an artist who has been warm to my ears a lot these past few weeks. Pink Ganter, Markus Ganter, is a German producer from Manheim, Germany, who creates warm-beautiful remixes that will make you think whilst you are laying outside. His remix of 'So This Is Goodbye' by William Fitzsimmons is incredibly playful, insightful and elegant with lyrics that are hard-hitting juxtaposing beauty with pain. Also, 'Young Blood' by The Naked and Famous has been getting alot of play on our radiowaves, opening our eyes to a catchy edit and a remix of 'Make It Better' by The Knocks is mesmorising. His music is tantalisingly-exquisite!

She is currently working with Paul Epsworth, Bloodshy & Avant, Dallas AustinLinda Perry and more on her debut album to be released on November 15 in the UK. Elias Tahan

Based in LA, Elias Tahan is a photographer who pushes editorial creativity. The 23 yr old was born and raised in Los Angeles, who after leaving art school immediately delved into a career as a full-time photographer, drawing inspiration from film and pop culture. His portfolio is incredibly extensive having shot numerous celebrities, however, his real eccentric artistic talent can be seen through his expressiveness in fashion editorials. The rawness of beauty in his photos is inspiring!

Get Up and Dance

This post is a little heavier and the beats are a bit more intrusive, but still pretty damn cool! They aren't new, but that doesn't rule out the fact that they're dope... Past couple of posts have been focusing on heavier electro, I don't know if it's because of my mood, or whether I'm becoming more accustomed but I'm liking it! Not for all listeners, but if you really want a dance have a listen! Loving Foamo's remix of Mystery Jets, it's really grungy and dark, SebastiAn is intense that's all I have to say and Busy P, as usual, produces the goods!

N.A.S.A.

I don't know if it's just because of the name, but N.A.S.A.'s music is on the blend between electronic in space and on earth. Together with the compelling bass beats mixed into eerie-space-ic sounds, the music makes you feel as though you are in some kind of dance party out in the middle of the Universe. Or maybe that's just my strange analogy! N.A.S.A. (standing for North America/South America) is an ongoing collaboration between two lifelong music aficionados, Squeak E. Clean (Sam Spiegel) and DJ Zegon (Ze Gonzales), and their friends, friends of friends and musical heroes. They also cleverly mesh hip-hop melodies with big big sounds.

The Top of Hip-Hop

When it comes to hip-hop, I don't really like the commercial stuff that comes out, I'm more about Q-Tip, Biggie Smalls and The Pharcyde... Yet, this song has caught my attention. Kanye West released his new single Monster on the 2nd of September, and it features Jay-Z (who is touring with U2 in Australia at the end of the year!?), Rick Ross, Bon Iver and Nicki Minaj. I quite enjoy the diverse range of instrumentals that are intertwined beneath the melodies.

They Keep Wantin' It

Some music to get you out of the winter slum and into the summer swing as the sun is shining!
Discovered these songs whilst I was away, and these sounds are magnetic... A truly eclectic mix, reworking hip-hop's master, N.E.R.D.'s, new hit ft. Nelly Furtado, Hot 'N' Fun. Also, a new beat from my favourite dj's Classixx, Cold Act III, who will be gracing the Australian shores when they play at Parklife! Ahhhhh cant wait.
