Yves Tanguy is one of the more incredible surrealist painters of his period. Born in 1900 in Paris, his work is immediately recognisable as a style of non-representational surrealism. His pieces comprise of vast, abstract landscapes, using a tightly limited palette of colours, occasionally showing contrasting colour accents. Detailing these landscapes are abstract objects to show dimension within his work.
I love his paintings, especially drawing attention to the compatible colour schemes!
