Dance with me

Here's a collection of some new sounds that I've been cranking lately. There are some laid back and dreamy sounds, especially Volta Cab's, Clarissa, which personally I think is absolutely beautiful. Yet, if you like something a little bit harder keep an ear out for Remix Artist Collective (RAC) who have been making some pretty awesome remixes that extend from Kings of Leon, Au Revoir Simone to Yuksek. It's a vast array of different genres, but it's an invigorating mix!

Tesla Boy

If you haven't heard of Tesla Boy, where have you been hiding!? This new dynamic act have been praised the "best thing to come out of Russia since Vodka" and listening to their music it's hard to disagree. Really taking on the retro 80's energy, their debut album Modern Thrills is one collection of music that would compliment a pool party or an escape to somewhere in the sun. This will make your heart run really fast.

Dan Black

This guy knows how to make sweet sweet music... English singer and producer, Dan Black released his debut album UN a few months back but only recently have his sounds begun to play through our radio waves. He incorporates acoustic sounds and percussion with electronic beats and tweaks. Working with artists such as Kid Cudi and soon to release a single with Bag Raiders, he is set to storm our stage at Parklife 2010. This will be one set you won't want to miss!

Sebastian Krüger

Overtime, Sebastian Kruger has imprinted his own artistic vision on the world. Developing away from his early role as a "star caricaturist" and into that of a star of the New Pop Realism. He paints the faces of iconic musical figures, inter-playing identity with the authenticity of fiction. His work is a reflection of media presentation and the crazed iconography of contemporary picture production. Alot of his paintings are of the Rolling Stones, in particular Keith Richards... Truly portraying his craziness!

Housse De Racket

I have to say that the French do it well when it comes to music, seemingly mastering the world of synth-pop sounds. Aboard this new train of delectable beats coming out of this country are soul-fused electro funk pop duo Housse De Racket. Two music scholars who incorporate impressive drum beats, guitar and vocals with synth-backings to create empowering music. Having already toured the world, supporting the likes of Foals, Phoenix, Friendly Fires, Yelle and The Teenagers, it looks as though its nothing but a bright future for these boys.

b&w

There is something about b&w photography that melts me inside.

Unlike colour, b&w photography draws greater attention to composition, perspective and context. In my eyes it accentuates every little detail and shadow enhancing the direction and story of an image.
I absolutely love it!
Don't get me wrong I like colour, however I wish more editorials were shot in b&w because I think it's beautiful.

Danger

I don't want to run the risk of becoming too electro-centric, but there is one artist who I can't turn my back on any longer... The most bad of the badass, Danger.
Danger is the mask wearing alter ego of Frank Rivoire, a 23 year-old Parisian graphic designer who infuses the perils of French electro with the stark electronic minimalism and insistence of artists such as Justice and Kavinsky.
Not only through the incorporation of hip-hop aesthetics does his music distinct itself from other electro outfits, but he also cleverly manipulates his cover art to embody the sinister imagery of his sound and the very essence of danger.
